Multiple Lens Mount Options
A PL mount is supplied as standard with the PMW-F3 to use film lenses with this camera. However VMI also can supply a Nikon EOS mount without charge for you to use Zeiss and Nikon DSLR lenses and also you can now attach Canon EOS lenses too using the MTF Electronic EOS Mount or Metabones electronic EOS Adapter
Make it Broadcast Quality with Ki Pro Mini or NanoFlash for just £20 per day
Add a Ki Pro Mini, NanoFlash external recorder to record at 50Mb/second or higher data rate and full Broadcast quality for only an additional £20 per day.
S-Log now standard for onboard and 422 recording
Firmware v1.4 now offers s-log as standard as a picture profile setting for onboard and single 1.5G HD-SDI up to 422 recording. Multiple gamma settings as also been added in a baked in option for quick turnaround productions.
S-log for 444 with LUT
VMI can now offer an S-log output option on PMW-F3 camcorders, which enables 444 RGB dual link SDI recording for an incredible leap in quality. S-Log option for Sony PMW-F3 to permit 4:4:4 dual stream output and expanded colour range. It changes the gamma curve, which effectively changes the dynamic range from around 11 to almost 14 stops. You need to add £50 per day for this. option plus £50 for a Ki Pro mini or NanoFlash external recorder to record additional lattitude 4:2:2. This is firmware which is uploaded to a VMI camera when configured and prepared for hire, so is not really a rental item by iteself. LUT settings for on set preview is possible with this option.
It is also possible for a Sony S-Log signal to be recorded with the full benefit of 4:4:4 mode to Gemini.
