Net Energy Exporter for a Third of the Year

Since 2023, VMI has proudly achieved net energy exporter status for a third of the year, thanks to its 55kW array of solar PV panels.

During the sunnier months, from April through July, our solar system produces more electricity than we consume. Given the demands of charging our growing fleet of EVs (including those of commuting staff) and powering our substantial battery inventory, we still generate a surplus of clean energy.

This means that for four months each year, VMI not only powers its operations sustainably but also exports excess green electricity back to the grid.

This is a milestone we’re proud of and a testament to how sustainability and business can go hand in hand, which is what VMI stands for.
