  • The new Camera Technician Apprenticeship standard has been approved by the Institute of Apprenticeships: See Camera Tech standard
  • This was designed by a group of 12 UK Broadcast Camera Rental Companies.
  • You will work full-time at a Broadcast Camera Rental Company.
  • Brand new 2-year NVQ level 3 course to study at London Screen Academy.
  • You will study on day-release of 1 day per week for 2 years and pay no training fees.
  • You will be paid during the course and have a permanent job upon completion.
  • There are two vacancies for camera technicians working at VMI to start Summer 2021.
  • The original September 2020 start date has been pushed forward to August 2021 due to COVID restrictions.

The “Camera Tech” role involves carrying out skilled work within the UK Film and TV Industry, preparing camera packages of very expensive and highly complex and specialised equipment so that they are correctly configured, utilising common knowledge and skills relating to lenses, cameras and other related components.
