Canon Shift and Tilt
Full Frame, Super-35
Canon TS-E shift & tilt series lenses are speciality lenses ideal for landscape and architectural photography and are compatible with all Canon EOS system single lens reflex cameras. The Canon TS-E range has significantly improved operability with low distortion when photographing buildings, consistent image quality throughout the image and reduced chromatic aberration when shooting at fixed focal lengths.
The manual iris ring, allows full compatibility with cameras made by other manufacturers, so that the iris can be operated manually.
3 versions of these lenses are available from VMI – 17mm/F4, 24mm/F3.5 & 45mm/F4.
The TS-E 45mm f/2.8 is a tilt-and-shift lens offering an angle of view similar to that of a 50mm standard lens. Tilt and shift mechanisms provide complete control over depth of field and perspective.
The image in the parade was taken with a 45mm tile and shift lens and both are in focus.
A standard focal length lens featuring tilt and shift movements. A floating optical system, and rear focusing mechanism ensure sharp images from 0.4m to infinity. The 45mm focal length is ideal for obtaining a natural-looking perspective.
The TS-E 45mm f/2.8 offers amazing flexibility, enabling a photographer to control the depth of field and perspective with ±8° of tilt, ±11mm shift and ±90° of rotation. The tilt-and-shift mechanism also features locks to ensure that unwanted movements are avoided.
Super Spectra coatings ensure accurate colour balance and enhance contrast. They also reduce flare and ghosting – a common problem caused by light bouncing off a camera’s sensor.
