Nanlux/Nanlite EVOKE 1200B LED Spotlight (Bi-Colour)

An extraordinarily punchy LED COP spotlight with an output comparative with an ARRI M18 HMI, whilst only drawing 1.2KW (50% less power) but now with bi-colour control and impressive colour range from 2700 to 6500K.  A massive Fresnel lens, makes for a very bright source too and when used in conjunction with the huge 4’ parabolic light dome, it generates unprecedented levels of crisp, bright illumination.  We consider it to be powerful, reliable and incredibly flexible and it outperform many comparable lights.

Built to meet the exacting requirements of cinematographers, live events, stills and broadcast professionals, whether using it as a Fresnel, spot, soft light, or a variety of beam angles, the Evoke 1200 is a revolution in illumination.  It is IP54 rated for working safely in light rain.

This brand-new luminaire has been created around a powerful COB LED source featuring state-of-the-art software exclusively developed by the Nanlux team. Technologically advanced and extremely capable, the Evoke1200 delivers stunning levels of flicker free, controllable light comparable to that of a 1.8kW PAR or 2.5kW HMI Fresnel.

VMI Tests

There is no doubt that this fixture is very bright indeed but we couldn’t just take the salesperson’s word on how it compares against other lights, so Ian performed a comparison test of a Nanlux Evoke 1200 against an ARRI M18 at approx. 10 feet.

• These are very impressive light levels but it is more impressive when you consider that the Evoke 1200 only draws 1200W compared with 1800W of the ARRI, this is 50% less power for a comparative fixture with a larger light source (comparing the diameter of the fresnel).

Strong on innovation and big on performance, the Evoke 1200’s inter-changeable optic system means the fixture can be used in a multitude of configurations, to satisfy almost any lighting requirement. The large aperture and sturdy fixings of the NL mount allows the user to quickly switch between optics to sculpture, shape and modify the output with absolutely no compromise in beam quality, colour or intensity.

The intuitive user interface with an easy-read 2.8-inch display, provides precision control over all aspects of output. Quick to set up and simple to operate, the Evoke is fully dimmable from 0-100% in ultra-precise intervals of just 0.1%, and features a selection of onboard, creative effects. For added convenience, user settings and custom looks can be locked or stored for later use.

Custom designed, with a distinctive carbon fibre housing, the system incorporates a fast-fixing yoke to allow full pan and tilt with 360° rotation. Robust construction using quality materials, plus an IP54 rating, makes the fixture ideal for use in almost any conditions.

Keeping you in full control at all times, the Evoke supports both wired and wireless operation via Nanlink APP, DMX/RDM, Bluetooth and Lumenradio TimoTwo.

With a perfect balance of simple, intuitive operation, with versatile, controllable output, plus the capability and convenience of LED illumination, Evoke 1200 is all the light you need.

Please be aware that due to the form factor of the light and the size of the Fresnel, the supplied case is very large and heavy (more than 30kg) and will need to be collected/delivered by van.
