For the first time ever in a full-frame digital single-lens mirrorless camera,* the LUMIX S1H incorporates a fan for optimum heat-dispersion — a feature typically found only on broadcast or cinema cameras. The fan is part of a newly developed body that allows unlimited video recording which causes minimal vibrations to effect image stabilization, and ultraquiet performance without compromising the dust- and splash-resistant body design.** The fan is designed to offer greater shooting flexibility through four different settings, including AUTO1 – which starts the fan soon after shooting starts to minimise heat and facilitate longer shots and AUTO2 – prioritizes quiet performance and minimises fan usage.
* Among full-frame digital single-lens mirrorless cameras as of August 27, 2019. ** Dust- and splash-resistant does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this camera is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
