Following the acquisition of The Hire Company in January 2015, VMI Bristol moved into its current building in January 2016 to become a fully functioning branch of VMI complete with camera test room and an equipment fleet tailor-made for the Bristol market.
As such, VMI Bristol keeps its own stock of EF & PL cameras, lenses, lighting and grip for camera hire but uniquely also keeps a fleet of Phantom VEO 4K super slow motion cameras and Canon ME20 super low-light cameras and selection of specialist lenses too.
VMI Bristol also has access to the complete range of equipment from London’s fleet on regular shuttle runs between the branches without additional charge, though please assist us by giving sufficient notice when making advanced bookings to ensure that equipment is ready for hire in the branch when and where it is required, since last minute changes might not otherwise be possible.
VMI Bristol branch is run by Branch Manager Gary Davis, who joined VMI in 2007, after a freelance production career in Dubai and the Middle East. He relocated to Bristol in 2015.
