VMI usually has ample parking for clients and camera tests outside its unit, however, there are rare occasions when there are more clients than our parking provision can cope with, so happily, from mid 2018, the new Travelodge on the same Victoria Industrial Estate will offer short term car parking on a paybyphone system.

Be aware though that parking in one of these bays without paying for it will result in a parking charge notice being issued to the vehicle but happily this is easy, affordable and users can either use an App, via website or by calling below.

Instructions will take clients through the payment options and allow them to choose a tariff to pay for the days parking and all cards are accepted except American Express. 

Camera Test Rooms

VMI has 3 purpose built camera test rooms provided as complimentary for Clients engaging in pre-hire gear checks which are a generous size:

The main two test rooms are 6.7m (long) x 4.1m (wide) and have a 2.7m ceiling height and the third is slightly smaller.

These rooms are air conditioned with a clean-air feed and equipped with low energy cool LED light panels, designed so that test charts are pre-lit to F2.8 at 320 ASA.

An internet point, wifi and Green Room are provided too!

Lens Projection

VMI have a dedicated lens projection room equipped with a Chrosziel Full Frame lens projector and EF, B4 and PL mounts, to enable lenses to be accurately projected and check their focus scaling in a controlled environment.

Lenses with any of the above native mounts can be projected in order to check the accuracy of their focus scales, and to check for any other visibly obvious errors in their optical performance.

In conjunction with this, we have the Denz Laser depth test gauge, which allows us to accurately determine the focal depth of any PL mounted camera. Additionally, we have a conventional collimator, allowing us to test the collimation of a complete system, as well as the individual components.
