Aputure Light Storm LS300D II with fresnel lens

A professional and robust LED fixture (5500K daylight only) which combines high light output with outstanding light quality based is a rugged and durable construction and is supplied complete with Light Storm LS300D with fresnel lens. The version II lamp is 20% brighter than the Mk I and the control box is fanless.  It consumes up to 300W of power while outputting 4451 fc of light with a standard reflector at a distance of 1.6′ and is powerable from mains or high-performance 12V V-Lock batteries.

Lightweight

LS C300d maintains its incredibly high output and color fidelity without any compromise to weight. Though its output is comparable to that of a 2000W tungsten lamp, the LS C300d weighs less than a quarter of that. Easily held with one hand, the LS C300d weighs just 2.1kg (4.6 lbs) while a 2000W tungsten lamp weighs over 9kg (nearly 20 lbs). The LS C300d also simplifies the once-complicated and heavy process of using light shaping accessories, making it possible to modify your light using just one hand.

Independent Lighting Controls

The LS C300d is built to give you maximum control over your light. The light’s easy-to-use and intuitive control box allows you to change things like brightness, remote channels and fan speeds. With a control box that is separated from the light’s power ballast, top weight is greatly reduced, allowing for maximum portability.

150m Wireless Remote Control (supplied)

Using 2.4G FSK technology, the LS C300d can be adjusted in brightness wirelessly using a remote up to 150m away.

Mains or Battery Operation

The LS C300d can be powered either via mains, or alternatively on battery requiring 2 x V-Lock batteries, or cineblock batteries.  As the system draws upto 300W of power, it is recommended that you use 2 x 150WH batteries for adequate performance.

It will run on full power with dual 150WH Mini Hawkwoods batteries for at least 40 mins.

Aputure AP-FRES Fresnel Mount

The Aputure Fresnel is a light-shaping tool offering versatility and intensity. Featuring an adjustable lens for flooding and spotting light output from 12°-42° beam angle, this lens magnifies the light intensity on the wide side at 14000lux all the way up to a blinding 100000lux at 0.5M.

Barn doos are also supplied to help as a light shaping tool and also fits with the fresnel lens.

Aputure Light Dome II Softbox

The Light Dome II is an optional extra that can be provided as part of the kit and features even higher quality diffusion fabric, a rapid build and breakdown system, an included honeycomb eggcrate, and several more new additions.

Advanced Diffusion Materials

The Light Dome II comes with two layers of ultra-soft diffusion: Magic Cloth and Silk Cloth. Combined, these materials turn your hard COB light into a beautiful soft light that provides a very even wrap around your subject, making the Light Dome II the perfect diffuser for portraits, interviews, documentaries, music videos, and narratives.

Battery Operation

Please note that the LS300/LS300 II light fixtures draw so much power, that there is only one type of battery suitable for it.  This is the Hawkwoods VL-90HP

In run time tests, the following durations were achieved for an Aputure LS 300 panel with the light set to 100% output.
