VMI Sponsors Year 2 of KIFF Film Festival

VMI loves to support new entrants to the industry and is a founder member of a brand new film festival which started last year. The Kingston International Film Festival aims to celebrate a diverse range of established and emerging talent and provide a terrific boost to the UK TV & Film Industry and as it is held in the UK, you can easily visit without boarding a plane!

Even better is that they are awarding a prize to both fund and produce a winning short film, so this is definitely one film festival to take seriously! Applications closed 28 April 2023.

Supported by BAFTA award-winning film director Mike Newell and Academy Award winning actress Dame Vanessa Redgrave, KIFF 2023 is now open for submissions with the shortlisted and winning entries screened at venues across Kingston in June 2023.

Prize to fund a short Film

The jewel in the crown of the festival prizes is the prize for the winner of our UK Short Screenplay. KIFF working alongside the winner will both fund and produce their film. So what they are saying is You win! We’ll film.

Where and When

KIFF will be taking place 23-25 June 2023 in the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. We will be showcasing a variety of films and documentaries from around the world. The festival is dedicated to providing a new, supportive platform to promote British Cinema in particular the small independent production companies that are the bedrock of the UK Film Industry.
