Trainee Rental Desk Client Contact This is a rare opening a trainee client contact to join the busy Camera Rental Desk of camera rental company, VMI. This will be a new position to join an expanding team. The applicant will join a busy close-knit team and the position includes full training and offers both a good salary and regular bonus too. VMI is a very well established camera hire company based in West London (North Acton Tube) that hires out camera kits to features, documentaries, commercials and dramas. This is a trainee position, so whilst the ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of current camera equipment and formats, this is not essential, however you must be extremely interested in the technology and equipment. Also experience of working in a production /film environment would be a great advantage, though this is not essential. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, enjoy dealing with clients over the phone, learn quickly and work well unsupervised in a team environment. Good communication and computer skills are essential, as well as a sound commercial instinct and above all, you must enjoy closing a deal. Candidates must have a background in broadcast equipment with up to date working knowledge of current digital cameras and lenses with a minimum of 2 years experience. Ideally, we are seeking a senior prep tech but would accept a junior prep tech of a suitable calibre. You must be able to hit the ground running, be a good team member, able to work independently and be a good communicator. You must be proficient in the use of MS Office/Outlook and internet.
